Following Weber's dismissal, Joel sued Weber for 90 million dollars, claiming fraud and breach of fiduciary duty. Immediately after filing suit, Joel was hospitalized with kidney stones.

All of this turmoil didn't prevent the release of his 12th studio album, Storm Front, in the fall of It was preceded by the single "We Didn't Start the Fire," whose lyrics were just a string of historical facts.
